Mia Korab

Creative Director at Fundamental Media

Mia Korab has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles in the media industry. Mia began their career as a graphic designer at Bauer media v.o.s in 2002. From there, they went on to become the editor-in-chief and art director at Nový Prostor from 2004 to 2006.

In 2006, Mia joined Metro Czech Republic as the deputy editor-in-chief and art director, where they managed an editorial team and oversaw day-to-day coverage. Mia also served as the art director and editor-in-chief of Men/Women Only, where they managed editorial staff, directed photo shoots, and coordinated activities with the marketing and sales team.

From 2009 to 2014, Mia worked at Metro International as an art director. Here, they worked closely with art directors and sales teams from local editions in 20 countries, developing innovative concepts for print and digital publications. Mia also led the design process for special editions of global campaigns and local projects, and delivered infographics and data visualizations for global editions.

Currently, Mia holds a role at Fundamental Media. Mia started as the head of design in 2014, where they created and evolved the company's visual identity. Mia worked closely with the media team to communicate visions and strategies to clients and was part of an innovative team responsible for creating a new digital platform. In 2018, Mia was promoted to the role of creative director, where they continue to contribute their expertise in design and branding.

Mia Korab has a diverse education history. In 1995 to 1999, they studied Design and Printing at SPSG & VOSK. Then, from 2015 to 2017, they pursued a Master's degree in Digital Media Management at Hyper Island. In 2022, Mia attended Hyper Island again to enhance their Executive Leadership skills. Apart from these formal educational experiences, they have additional certifications in HTML & CSS from an institution called JavaScript.
