José María Álvarez-Pallete is the Executive Chairman of Telefónica S.A., a position held since February 1999, with extensive experience in various leadership roles within the company, including Chief Operating Officer and Executive Chairman of Telefónica Europa and Telefónica Latinoamérica. Additionally, José María serves as President of Fundación Telefónica, President of the GSMA Council, and Chairman of the Jobs, Skills and Impact Committee at the European Round Table for Industry. José María has been involved with multiple organizations, including roles as a board member for Portugal Telecom and China Netcom, and advisory roles at SEAT.
