Rui Esgaio has been serving as Secretary General at the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation since September 2012, after previously holding the position of Director of the Office of the President at the same institution. Rui's earlier experience includes working as an Assistant to the Secretary of State at the Ministry of Agriculture from 1995 to 1999. Rui's educational background includes an Advanced Management Program at INSEAD in 2013, a Pós Graduação in Financial Analysis from the University of Lisbon in 2004, and a Licenciatura in Economics from Universidade Católica Portuguesa, completed in 1993.
