Gergő Köpenczei has extensive work experience in the field of security engineering and consulting. Gergő is currently working as the Principal Security Engineer and CEO at Vendito and as a Senior Security Engineer at Functionize, both since 2021. Prior to this, they worked at Skyscanner as a Senior Security Engineer from 2017 to 2021. Gergő also has experience as a Cyber Defence Specialist at MOL Group from 2016 to 2017 and as a Security Consultant at Deloitte Hungary from 2013 to 2015.

Gergő Köpenczei started their education in 2011 at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Computer Software Engineering. Gergő completed their studies in 2016. During the same period, from 2011 to 2016, Gergő also attended the Mathias Corvinus Collegium, focusing on the field of study in Business & Economics.

After their undergraduate studies, Gergő went on to further their education at the University of Szeged, where they pursued a Master of Science degree in Computer Science. Gergő started their master's program in 2021 and is expected to complete it in 2023.

In addition to their formal education, Gergő Köpenczei has acquired several certifications to enhance their professional skillset. In 2017, they obtained the Associate of (ISC)2 (CISSP) certification from (ISC)², and in the same year, they also acquired the Certified Incident Handler (GCIH) certification from GIAC Certifications. In 2019, Gergő gained the Offensive Security Certified Professional certification from Offensive Security.
