Melina Haupt is an accomplished R&D professional with extensive experience in material science and biotechnology. Currently serving as R&D Manager BioGraft at FunCell since November 2020, Melina leads industrial projects from lab to market, focusing on innovative chemical transformations of natural polymers and sustainable practices. Previous roles include Research Engineer at LTMLab, Project Manager in Life Science at ILL, and Scientific Researcher at EMBL, among others. Melina holds a PhD in Biochemistry, Biophysics, and Molecular Biology from the Technical University of Munich, as well as a Master's degree in Chemistry from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München and a research assistantship at the University of Glasgow.
