Kenan Sener, Ed.D. has extensive experience in educational leadership. Kenan served as the Head of School at Fulton Science Academy Private School since 2012. Prior to this role, they were the Principal of Fulton Science Academy Middle School from 2007 to 2012 and also served as the Assistant Principal of Instruction and Curriculum from 2004 to 2007.
Kenan Sener, Ed.D. completed their Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) degree in Educational Leadership at Johns Hopkins University School of Education from 2017 to 2020. Kenan pursued a Certificate in School Management and Leadership at Harvard Graduate School of Education from 2021 to 2022. Additionally, they earned a Certificate in Leadership and Innovation from Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2021.
Before their doctoral studies, Kenan received a Master of Education (MEd) degree in Educational Leadership from Kennesaw State University from 2013 to 2015. Kenan obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Management Information Systems from Alliant International University and an Associate's degree in Computer Programming from Boğaziçi University.
In terms of additional certifications, Kenan obtained the Danielson Teaching Framework - Common Vision of Excellence and the Talk About Teaching: Growth-Focused Observation and Feedback certifications from The Danielson Group in July 2021. Kenan also completed the Leadership and Innovation certification from MIT Professional Education in May 2021. Other certifications include Essentials of the Art of Coaching from Bright Morning Consulting Inc. in December 2020 and Strategic Thinking and Improvement Planning for Educational Leaders from Cognia in December 2020. Finally, they obtained their Doctor of Education degree from Johns Hopkins University School of Education in August 2020.
