Kim Thompson has a diverse work experience in various industries. Kim started their career as a Sales Associate at Pulte Homes, where they achieved impressive sales volumes and managed numerous client accounts. Kim then worked as an Assistant Manager/Head Buyer at Green Grocer Chicago, where they increased daily sales and improved ordering processes.
Next, Kim joined the Chicago Department of Environment as an Intern, assisting with research, data management, and program assistance. Kim also played a key role in the Chicago Green Office Challenge, providing technical assistance and creating training programs.
Kim then worked as a Program Officer at ICLEI-Local Governments for Sustainability USA, where they assisted local government members in developing greenhouse gas inventories, sustainability assessments, climate action plans, and implementation strategies. Kim also managed the Chicago Green Office Challenge program and provided consultation services.
Following that, Kim joined the Student Conservation Association, first as a Partner Services Coordinator, serving as a central point of contact for partners in the Midwest and Middle Atlantic regions. Kim then became the National Operations Director - Intern Program, overseeing all operational aspects, setting goals, creating training material, and delivering training to employees.
Currently, Kim holds the position of Vice President Finance at Fulton Grace Realty, where they are responsible for overseeing the accounting department, managing accounts payable and receivable, preparing the annual budget, and improving profitability.
Throughout their career, Kim has demonstrated strong leadership skills, problem-solving abilities, and a focus on sustainability and environmental initiatives.
Kim Thompson attended Northern Illinois University from 2001 to 2005, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Business Management.
