Paul Conroy

Paul Conroy has a long and varied work experience in the technology field. Paul began their career in 1995 as a Senior Consultant for Keane, Inc. and LANSystems, Inc., where they were responsible for leading the development of Lotus Notes/Domino applications for Fortune 500 clients. In 1996, they were hired as a Senior Application Developer for Donnelley Enterprise Solutions, Inc. and Bowne Business Solutions, where they produced application integration utilities and developed two highly profitable products. In 1998, they were promoted to Senior Manager of Technology, Systems and Development for Winstar Communications, where they managed, designed, and supervised the development of multi-tier, state-of-the-art e-commerce solutions. In 2001, they founded and became CTO of Empire Tech Fx, a web development company specializing in solutions for the non-profit sector. In 2003, they became a Consultant for Deutsche Bank, where they facilitated the migration of data between NAOP and ICI systems. In 2005, they were hired as a Database Analyst / Web Application Developer for Newsweek, where they created dynamic web reports of email traffic and designed and built an automated Electronic Job Requisition web based application. In 2007, they were promoted to Lead Developer for Newsweek and The Daily Beast, where they upgraded the organization to 7.0.4, streamlined clustering, replication and Domino Domain Monitoring, and setup Blackberry Enterprise Server and Directory Assistance to Active Directory. In 2013, they founded and became Director of Full Genomes, Inc. and in 2014, they co-founded and became CTO of Commongene.org, a not-for-profit organization with the mission of creating unity through the study of genetics.

Paul Conroy attended Hunter College from 1991 to 1995, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. In 2013, they took courses through Coursera. In 2014, they obtained a certification in Bioinformatic Methods I from Coursera.
