Allison Schooley began their work experience in 2005 as a Regional Development Director at the American Cancer Society. Allison then worked as a Swim Instructor at the Midlothian Family YMCA from 2006 to 2011. In 2011, they became an Agent Assistant at State Farm until 2013 when they joined the American Cancer Society again as a Specialist for Relay For Life. In 2014, they started working at Full Circle Grief Center, where they held various roles, including Office Manager, Events and Volunteer Manager, and currently as the Practice and Operations Director.

Allison Schooley earned their Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from Virginia Tech, where they attended from 1997 to 2001.
