Yusuke Shimizu serves as the VP and Head of Global Technology Affairs at Fujitsu, focusing on advancing 5G network business through collaborations with government programs in the US, EU, and Japan, while managing intellectual property rights strategy for mobile and photonics networks. Prior to this role, Shimizu held multiple senior management positions at Panasonic North America, including Senior Manager of Cybersecurity, where a global IoT Security Operations Center team was established, and Senior Manager of Corporate Planning & Strategic Initiatives, in which strategic growth plans were developed and organizational changes implemented. Previous roles also included Chief Alliance Coordinator and Senior Alliance Coordinator at Panasonic, managing alliances related to automotive and IoT technologies, and earlier positions as a Software Engineer, contributing to the development of significant products and industry standards. Yusuke Shimizu holds a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Keio University and the University of Maryland respectively.
