Peter Fuhrken has extensive work experience in various roles in the field of technical operations, process engineering, and life sciences manufacturing. Peter currently holds the position of Vice President of Technical Operations at FUJIFILM Cellular Dynamics since July 2021. Prior to this role, they served as the Senior Director of Process Engineering and Life Sciences Manufacturing from October 2018 to July 2021, and as the Director of Process Engineering from October 2017 to October 2018. Peter'sprevious positions at the company include Senior Group Leader - Process Sciences from September 2011 to October 2017, Senior Scientist - Process Development from August 2008 to August 2011, and Scientist from August 2007 to August 2008.
Before joining FUJIFILM Cellular Dynamics, Peter Fuhrken worked as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Wisconsin-Madison starting from January 2021. Peter also served as a Graduate Research Assistant at Northwestern University from 2001 to 2007.
Additionally, Peter Fuhrken gained experience as a Product Development Engineer at Procter and Gamble, where they were involved in the development of new products, manufacturing processes, and packaging for consumer beverage products. Peter facilitated the manufacturing of consumer test products and transferred product/process/package technology to manufacturing during their tenure from December 1997 to September 2001.
Peter Fuhrken completed their education at two prestigious universities. From 1993 to 1997, they studied Chemical Engineering at Iowa State University and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree. Following this, Peter pursued further education at Northwestern University from 2001 to 2007. During this time, they focused on Chemical and Biological Engineering and successfully earned a Ph.D. degree.
