Additionally, they worked as a Research Assistant at Penn State University's Energy and Fuels Research Center, conducting research in the field of energy and fuels.
Before transitioning to the private sector, Brent served in the U.S. Navy as a Division Officer.

Brent Voelker completed their Bachelor's Degree in BS Engineering Physics (Nuclear and Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics) at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute from 1987 to 1991.
