Brent Voelker has a diverse work experience that spans over three decades. Brent is currently the Director of Solutions Architecture at FuelCell Energy, where they are responsible for developing solutions for projects in renewable hydrogen production, hydrogen storage, electricity from renewable hydrogen, and carbon capture. In this role, they coordinate project development and optimizes the performance and financial return of the system by working with various teams.

Before joining FuelCell Energy, Brent served as the Director of Kinsley Energy Systems at Kinsley Power Systems for nearly eight years. In this position, they managed product and project development, sales, operations, and maintenance of distributed cogeneration systems. Brent also led the Cannabis Climate Control and Energy Infrastructure Practice, overseeing the design, development, and delivery of onsite energy plants for large-scale cannabis production.

Prior to their time at Kinsley Power Systems, Brent worked at United Technologies Hamilton Sundstrand as a System Integration specialist for twelve years. Brent was responsible for integrating various systems to optimize performance and efficiency.

Brent's career also includes experience as a Control Systems Engineer at Bechtel Power Corporation, where they focused on controls engineering for power systems. Additionally, they worked as a Research Assistant at Penn State University's Energy and Fuels Research Center, conducting research in the field of energy and fuels.

Before transitioning to the private sector, Brent served in the U.S. Navy as a Division Officer.

Brent Voelker completed their Bachelor's Degree in BS Engineering Physics (Nuclear and Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics) at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute from 1987 to 1991. Brent later pursued a Master's Degree in Science and Technology Policy at Virginia Tech, graduating from 1999 to 2006. Brent Voelker also attended RPI and VA Tech from 2007 to 2012, focusing on Science and Technology in Society (STS) without earning a specific degree.
