Tawny Scanlan is an Associate at FTW Ventures since September 2019, leading investment initiatives and developing a deal diligence database to enhance communication within the investor network. As a Graduate Student Researcher at UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine since January 2011, Tawny has co-authored research proposals securing over $800k in funding and managed a multi-disciplinary team for a biotechnology grant. Previous roles include lab management and research positions focused on cryobiology and intensive care in large animals, alongside analytical roles at Engage3 where Tawny contributed to AI product development. Tawny's academic achievements include a PhD in Animal Biology and a Bachelor of Science in the same field from UC Davis, coupled with fellowships and internships emphasizing research and technology transfer.
