Els De Keyser is an experienced professional in financial and legal sectors with a strong background in supervision and regulation. Currently serving as the Director of the Central Inspection Team and Director of IT and Supervision of Market Operators at the FSMA since December 2011, Els oversees the licensing of lenders and intermediaries, as well as the compliance of financial institutions with MiFID rules. Prior to this, Els held various roles at KBC Group, including Head of Global Policy Management and Head of Operations & Legal Support, and contributed to the establishment of KBC Asset Management. With an extensive education including an MBA from Vlerick Business School and a law degree from Vrije Universiteit Brussel, Els has also engaged in translation and mentorship through the TED Open Translation Project.
