Anish Sompura has a diverse work experience spanning several years. Anish started their career as a Design Engineering Intern at Tata Technologies in 2013, where they analyzed packaging constraints for steering and suspension assembly and designed a hydraulic power-assisted steering system for a new vehicle model.
In 2015, Anish worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at The University of Texas at Austin. Anish taught courses in Mechanical Engineering Design Methodology and Design of Machine Elements, gaining experience in instructing and evaluating undergraduate courses.
Anish then joined Pratt & Whitney in 2017, where they initially worked as a Mechanical Engineer in their Engineering Development Program. In this role, they spent 10 months in the Structures Engineering department, working on structural analysis of integrally bladed Low-Pressure Compressor rotor blades for an advanced military engine program. Anish also conducted Finite Element Analysis using ANSYS for static and modal analysis of airfoils.
Later at Pratt & Whitney, Anish transitioned to the role of Design Engineer, providing production support in Compression Systems Engineering for operational commercial engines. Anish'sresponsibilities included supporting quality engineering during overhaul/maintenance and manufacturing, working on engineering change proposals to improve part design, and revising Engine Manuals.
In 2020, Anish joined the United States Department of Agriculture - Natural Resources Conservation Services as a Civil/Agricultural Engineer. Here, they had a range of responsibilities including designing and coordinating pre-construction meetings, providing quality assurance and construction inspection for various environmental engineering practices, and consulting landowners on best land management practices.
Currently, Anish is working as a Project Engineer at FS-Elliott, starting in 2023. No additional details about their role are provided.
Anish Sompura's education history began in 2009 when they enrolled at Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani. Anish pursued a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Mechanical Engineering, completing their studies in 2014. During the same period, they also earned a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Physics from the same institution.
In 2014, Anish Sompura decided to further their education and joined The University of Texas at Austin. Here, they pursued a Master of Science in Engineering (M.S.E.) in Mechanical Engineering from 2014 to 2016.
After completing their studies, Anish Sompura obtained two additional certifications related to their field of expertise. In December 2016, they became a Certified SolidWorks Associate and also obtained the Certified SolidWorks Professional title, both from Dassault Systèmes.
