Pete McNamee has extensive work experience in software engineering and consulting roles. Pete is currently working as a Senior Software Engineer II at Frontline Education since July 2020. Before that, from 2016 to 2020, they ran their own consulting firm called McNamee Software Consulting, where they collaborated with clients to deliver customized software solutions using MS .net technologies. Prior to that, they worked as a Head Coach for Union Sacramento FC from 2011 onwards. Additionally, they have worked as a Software Engineer for an undisclosed company from 2018 until 2020. Pete also has experience as a Partner at M2 Staffing, where they focused on IT development and technical staffing. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Program Manager and Technical Team Lead at Infinite Technologies, Inc. and held multiple roles at AiMetrix, Inc., SYS Technologies, Inc., Kratos Defense and Security Solutions, and San Luis Storm. Throughout their career, Pete has demonstrated strong technical skills, team leadership, and client collaboration.

Pete McNamee attended Foothill High School from 1989 to 1993, where they received their High School Diploma. Following this, they enrolled at California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo in 1994 and graduated in 1998 with a Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology. In 1993, they also briefly attended the University of Colorado Colorado Springs, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Biology. Later, in 2002 to 2003, Pete attended MTI School of Business and Technology and obtained a Diploma in Application Development.
