Risla Jabarullah began their work experience in 2013 as a Software Engineer at Virtusa. Risla worked in this role until 2017 when they transitioned to become an Associate Consultant within the same company. In 2019, Risla joined Frontier Software as a Software Developer.

Risla Jabarullah is currently pursuing a Master of Information Technology degree at the University of Melbourne, specializing in Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence. Prior to this, from 2009 to 2012, Risla attended the University of Colombo, where they completed a Bachelor of Information Technology degree with a focus on Information Technology. Before that, from 2008 to 2012, Risla studied at the University of Peradeniya, earning a Bachelor of Science degree with a specialization in Botany, specifically in the field of Biological Sciences.
