Bill Lear

Program Director, MSDO Fellowship And Mohs Surgeon at Frontier Dermatology

Bill Lear, MD has a diverse work experience. Bill is currently the Program Director for the MSDO Fellowship and a Mohs Surgeon at Frontier Dermatology since 2023. Prior to this, they founded and served as the President and CTO of SUTUREGARD® Medical, Inc. from 2015 to 2022. Bill also worked as the MSDO Fellowship Director and Director of Dermatological Surgery at Silver Falls Dermatology from 2008 to 2023.

Bill Lear, MD began their education at the University of Ottawa, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry in 1994. Bill then attended the University of Toronto, earning their MD in Medicine in 1998. Afterward, they pursued a degree in Family Medicine at McMaster University from 1998 to 2000. In 2004, Lear enrolled at the University of Toronto again, this time to specialize in Dermatology, obtaining their FRCPC degree in 2007. Finally, from 2007 to 2008, they completed a Fellowship in Procedural Dermatology, specifically focusing on Mohs Surgery, at the University of Washington.
