Erik was a Erik'storian and Pro-Magister of Sigma Chi Omicron Omicron Chapter while at the university. Prior to that, they attended Groton School, a high school in Groton, Massachusetts, from 2011 to 2014. Erik was on the Groton Debate Team and created the Groton Green Zebra Campaign while there. In 2013, they attended Harvard University's Summer Undergraduate Program, where they took courses in Catalyzing Change: Sustainability Leadership for the 21st Century and Global Climate Change: The Science, Social Impact, and Diplomacy of a World Environmental Crisis. Erik studied with Nobel Prize laureate Dr. William Moomaw during this program.
