Mary Deissler has a comprehensive work experience in the non-profit sector. Mary is currently the Co Executive Director at Boston Landmarks Orchestra since 2020. Before that, they worked as the Chief Strategy Officer at From the Top from 2019. In the same year, they also founded their own consulting firm, Deissler Consulting. From 2016 to 2019, Mary held multiple roles at Charlotte Symphony, including Consultant and President and CEO. Prior to that, they served as the President at The Chicago Academy for the Arts from 2015 to 2016. Mary also has experience as the Chief Advancement Officer at ArtisāNaples from 2012 to 2015 and as the Director of Campaigns and Major Gifts at Los Angeles Philharmonic from 2010 to 2012. Mary began their career at Save the Children as the Director of Major Gifts and Foundations from 2009 to 2010. Mary has also worked as a Consultant at MD Consulting from 2007 to 2009. Their extensive experience in the field includes roles such as CEO and Development Director at Handel & Haydn Society from 1982 to 2007.
Mary Deissler has a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in German from UMass Boston. Mary also obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a focus on Entrepreneurship/Entrepreneurial Studies from Babson F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business.
