Rachael Sheehan is an experienced educational leader currently serving as the Summer Learning Academy Principal at Friendship Public Charter School since June 2023. Previously, Rachael held the position of Senior Manager of Academics at Horton's Kids, Inc., where responsibilities included developing literacy interventions, training tutors, and evaluating student progress. Rachael's earlier roles include teaching STEM at Rocketship Public Schools, serving as a Math Accelerator at KIPP DC, and working as a substitute teacher with DCPS. Rachael's career began as a City Year Corps Member, where mentorship and data-driven lesson planning were key components. Rachael holds a Master's degree in Education Policy and Leadership from American University and a Bachelor's degree in Business Family and Consumer Sciences/Human Sciences from Stetson University.
