Kaylie Saidin

Middle School Language Arts Teacher at Friends School of Wilmington

Kaylie Saidin currently serves as a Middle School Language Arts Teacher at Friends School of Wilmington, where responsibilities include teaching Language Arts to sixth, seventh, and eighth grade students, developing curriculum, and advising a split-grade group while incorporating Quaker pedagogy and environmental teachings. Kaylie has also worked as a Surfing Instructor and served as Fiction Editor at Ecotone Magazine, overseeing submissions and editing processes. Previous roles include Graduate Research and Teaching Assistant at the University of North Carolina Wilmington, facilitating creative writing workshops, and Section Editor for The Maroon, where Kaylie won a 2018 Pinnacle Award for Best Design Page. Kaylie holds an MFA in Creative Writing with a focus on Fiction from the University of North Carolina Wilmington and a Bachelor's degree in English Language and Literature from Loyola University New Orleans.
