Rasha El-Haggan serves as the Assistant Head of School for Academics at the Friends School of Baltimore since July 2023, previously holding roles including Director of Curriculum and Professional Growth and Academic Dean at Sandy Spring Friends School from July 2018 to June 2023. Rasha has also contributed to The Johns Hopkins University as Adjunct Faculty in the School of Education during summer 2022. As Head of School and IB PYP Coordinator at Tarbiyah Academy from January 2015 to July 2018, Rasha played a key role in establishing the school as the first IB Authorized institution in Howard County, implementing student-centered instructional strategies. Additional experience includes leading as IB DP Coordinator at Emirates National School and serving in various educational roles at AlHuda School, along with technical writing positions at HealthObjects and CommerceOne. Rasha holds a Master of Education in Secondary English Education from The Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature from the University of Maryland Baltimore County.
