Christa van Kan has a diverse work experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Christa started their career as a Clinical Research Associate (CRA) at Byk Nederland in 1996 and worked there until 1998. In 1998, they established their own company, PharmaScope B.V., where they served as the Owner and Director of Clinical Operations until 2005.

After that, Christa joined PSR Orphan Experts, where they held various roles, including Director of Clinical Operations, Chief Clinical Officer, Managing Director, and Strategic Director of Rare Diseases. PSR is known for its expertise in orphan drug development, and Christa played a key role in designing and executing successful clinical development strategies for orphan indications.

In 2021, they worked as an Interim Director of Clinical Operations at Healx. Following that, in 2023, they joined Freya Pharma Solutions as the Director of Clinical Operations.

Additionally, in 2020, Christa also worked as an Independent Consultant at Kan-Do Consultancy.

Christa van Kan attended Dutch School Cobham from 1980 to 1983. Christa then studied at Huygens Lyceum Voorburg from 1983 to 1989, where they obtained their VWO degree. Later, from 1990 to 1996, they pursued their M.Sc. in Biomedical Science at Leiden University.
