Hugo Ascencio is the Chief Financial Officer at Freund since October 2023, providing strategic financial leadership and contributing to organizational growth. Previously, Hugo served as Inspector General at the Organization of American States (OAS) from July 2017 to July 2023, where leadership in internal audit and investigations ensured organizational integrity and accountability. Prior roles include Audit Director for LafargeHolcim, overseeing internal audits in the Americas from January 2015 to July 2017, and Head of Audit for Holcim Mexico from 2013 to 2014, where responsibilities included managing audit plans and internal control systems. Hugo's earlier experience includes several financial and auditing roles within Holcim across Central America and corporate functions, alongside educational qualifications that include an MBA in Finance and a degree in Software Engineering.
