Supriya Dakhave has a diverse work experience in the field of engineering. Supriya started their career at CSIR - National Chemical Laboratory as a project intern, where they developed a prototype system for continuous monitoring and control of heat exchanger temperature. Supriya then volunteered as a medical imaging engineer at the University of Pune, focusing on biomedical image indexing and retrieval using MATLAB.
Supriya went on to work at Honeywell as an engineer, where they were responsible for project cost estimation, equipment selection, and writing installation guidelines and standard operating procedures. Supriya also worked on Honeywell controllers, PLC ladder logic, HMI, and HC 900 controllers for safety and interlocks.
At the University of Texas at Arlington Research Institute (UTARI), Supriya worked as a device manufacturing engineer. Their responsibilities included hands-on fabrication techniques, lean manufacturing principles, and Six Sigma tools. Supriya also gained expertise in SolidWorks, medical device tools, and testing and calibration equipment.
As a validation engineer at the University of Texas at Arlington, Supriya developed and initiated standards and methods for testing and validating medical device health metrics. Supriya was responsible for process validation of smartwatches, including developing sampling procedures and documentation for IRB protocol approval.
Supriya then joined Nypro, a Jabil Company, as a new product development engineer. Their role involved understanding and implementing the current state of the art diagnostics technology, executing standards and FDA medical device regulations, and analyzing technical specifications to determine the best approach.
Most recently, Supriya has been working at Freudenberg Medical as a medical device manufacturing engineer. Their responsibilities include collaborating with engineers and customer personnel to design and develop silicone and plastic injection molding processes for Class IIB ENT medical devices. Supriya also develops process validation protocols and specifies required machinery and equipment.
Overall, Supriya Dakhave has gained expertise in various areas of engineering, including medical device manufacturing, new product development, validation, and imaging technology.
Supriya Dakhave earned a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in Instrumentation & Control from Savitribai Phule Pune University, graduating in 2014. Supriya later pursued a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from The University of Texas at Arlington, completing their studies in 2018. Additionally, Supriya obtained certifications in Lab Safety Training - Personal Protection Equipment from Environmental Health & Safety, Inc., LabVIEW Core Training from National Instruments, and Six Sigma Green Belt Core Certification from Honeywell. The specific months and years in which they obtained these certifications are not provided.
