Shan Kadavil's work experience begins in 1999 as a Senior Software Engineer at MAPS geosystems. Shan was responsible for developing the PROMPT Network server and utilized C/C++/assembly languages and network technologies such as RPC or sockets.
In 2000, they became a Software Consultant at SVAM International, specializing in networking and security. Shan consulted with various clients, including SupportSoft, and contributed to the design and coding of client-server applications.
Kadavil joined SupportSoft Inc in 2001, initially as a Software Architect. Shan played a key role in architecting core networking and security modules for SupportSoft products. Shan then transitioned to the role of Director of Engineering for SupportSoft India, which they co-founded in 2003. During this time, they handled multiple functional roles and oversaw the company's startup process.
From 2006 to 2009, Kadavil served as the Vice President of Products and Country Manager at SupportSoft Inc. Shan led the growth of the Enterprise business unit across the United States, India, and Canada. In 2009, Kadavil joined Zynga as the Country Manager India and Early CXO. Shan was responsible for building and running games such as Farmville, Mafia Wars, and Cityville, as well as establishing the first and largest center outside the US for Zynga.
In 2009, they also founded Dbaux.com, a company providing Cloud and Appliance-based solutions for security, remote support, IT management, and automation. Dbaux focused on the security segment, working with large government organizations.
Kadavil's current work experience is with FreshToHome, where they are the CEO and Co-founder. FreshToHome is an online fresh fish and meat brand that aims to disrupt traditional ways of sourcing and distributing fresh food. They also operate as an AI-based auctions marketplace, connecting consumers directly with fishermen and farmers. FreshToHome is expanding rapidly into other fresh categories such as fruits, vegetables, and dairy.
Shan Kadavil attended Model Engineering College, Cochin from 1995 to 1999, where they obtained a B.Tech degree in Computer Engineering. In addition, they also attended Sharjah Indian School, although specific years or degrees were not provided for this institution.
