John Bandringa is an experienced design professional with a diverse background in interaction design, product innovation, and strategic planning. Currently serving as Teaching Faculty at NewSchool of Architecture & Design, John specializes in Interaction Design, Materials, and Studio leadership for product design majors, integrating real-world perspectives into the curriculum. As Founder and President of Movaic, Inc., John focuses on developing and distributing innovative products. Previously, John held leadership roles at FreshForm as Chief Strategy & Innovation Officer, and at the Port of San Diego, where strategic planning and project management capabilities were enhanced. John’s extensive experience includes a tenure at Honeywell as Senior Director of Corporate Design, leading a large international User Experience team, and earlier positions at GIRVIN, Teague, and Audi AG, where significant contributions were made to industrial design and automotive innovation. John obtained a Bachelor of Science in Transportation & Product Design from ArtCenter College of Design and has further educational credentials from Gonzaga University and Harvard Business School Online.
