Mihai Ciobanu began their career in 1999 as a Management Trainee and Brand Manager at Unilever South Central Europe. Mihai stayed with the company until 2004, when they were promoted to Group Brand Manager. In 2006, they moved to Pfizer Romania as Manager of the Consumer Healthcare Division, where they doubled the business in the first six months. From 2007 to 2013, they worked at Johnson & Johnson Consumer Romania, first as Business Manager and then as Business Development Manager OTC. In 2013, they became CEO of FRESH4CAST LTD, where they offer intelligence solutions and predictive models specialised in agriculture to help growers and distributors of fresh fruits and vegetables improve their production, procurement and selling process.
Mihai Ciobanu's education history includes a BSc in International Economic Relations from Universitatea “Babeș-Bolyai” din Cluj-Napoca from 1995 to 1999, an MBA from Maastricht School of Management from 2010 to 2012, and an MSc (Sloan) from London Business School in 2013. Additionally, they have obtained various certifications from Coursera, including Machine Learning by Stanford University in 2014, Practical Machine Learning by Johns Hopkins University in 2016, and Custom Models, Layers, and Loss Functions with TensorFlow in 2020.
