Eric Hitchcock has a diverse work experience in the IT field. Eric started their career in 2006 as a Cisco Networking Academy Student at Shelby Counter School of Technology, where they gained knowledge in computer troubleshooting and Windows OS. In 2012, they worked as a Computer Sales Associate at Best Buy, assisting customers with the upgrade and software installation of both Windows and Mac computers. From 2014 to 2015, Eric worked as an IT HelpDesk at Logista, diagnosing and resolving technical issues related to hardware and software. Eric then joined Alltech Computer Works in 2015 as an IT Technician, where they diagnosed technical issues and worked with Windows Server 2008 and 2013. From 2015 to 2017, Eric worked as a Field Service Technician at Geek Squad, troubleshooting hardware and software, networking, printer installation, and removal of viruses and malware. In 2017, they joined Fresh Technology LLC as a Desktop Support Analyst, where they gained experience in troubleshooting PC hardware/software, networking, printer installation, Microsoft Office, Windows OS, macOS, and removal of viruses and malware. Eric then worked as an IT Technician at ProctorU from 2018 to 2020, where they troubleshooted hardware, software, networking, Windows and Mac OS, removal of viruses and malware, and Windows Server. Most recently, they worked as an IT Helpdesk Analyst at a consulting company since 2018, where they troubleshooted and diagnosed hardware, software, networking, Windows and Mac OS, removal of viruses and malware, and Microsoft Office.

Eric Hitchcock attended Rowan-Cabarrus Community College from 2009 to 2013, where they obtained an Associate's degree in Networking Technology. In addition to their degree, they also obtained several certifications in various networking topics from lynda.com in 2015, including Introduction to Networking, Network Troubleshooting, Understanding Device Security, Understanding IP Addressing, Up and Running with Wireless Networking, and Everything You Need to Know About Subnetting.
