Tom N. has a diverse work experience spanning across various industries. Tom is currently a Co-Founder at Frequenz since 2019.
Prior to this, they were the Co-Founder and Managing Director at Sociomantic Labs from 2009 to 2018. During their tenure, Sociomantic grew to become one of the world's largest real-time bidding demand side platforms with over 1000 customers and 300+ employees. In 2014, Sociomantic joined Dunnhumby, a customer science subsidiary of Tesco Plc and Kroger Inc.
Before their role at Sociomantic, Tom N. worked as a Visiting Researcher at QUT (Queensland University of Technology) in 2008 and as the Director of Web Services at zanox from 2007 to 2008. Tom also served as a Research Associate at the University of St.Gallen from 2004 to 2007, focusing on the design of knowledge and communication management infrastructure.
Tom N. started their career as a Technical Officer at the Institute of Electronic Business e.V. in 2001 and had freelance roles as a Web Developer at ProSiebenSat.1 Digital GmbH in 2003 and Publicis Groupe in 2003.
Tom N. completed their Bachelor's degree in Computer Science at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin from 1997 to 2000. Tom then pursued a Diplom Designer Electronic Business degree in Digital Communication at Universität der Künste Berlin from 2000 to 2003. In 2003, they participated in a Study Abroad program at the University of the Sunshine Coast, focusing on Intercultural Media Management. Tom N. later obtained a PhD in Computer and Information Sciences, General from the University of St.Gallen, where they studied from 2004 to 2009.
