Robert Reid has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and industries. Robert began their career at The Ohio State University as a Student Research Assistant in the Department of Astronomy, where they developed optical component models and performed electronics design and testing for telescope instrumentation.

After their time at The Ohio State University, Robert worked as a Graduate Assistant in Teaching at The University of Arizona's Department of Planetary Sciences. Here, they gained experience in teaching and supporting academic programs.

Robert then transitioned to a role as a Research Specialist and Graduate Assistant in Research at The University of Arizona's Lunar and Planetary Laboratory. In this position, they led software development for imaging teams involved in NASA missions, conducted spectrophotometric analysis, and supported spacecraft mission operations at NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory.

Following their work at The University of Arizona, Robert worked as a Remote Consultant at NASA Ames Research Center, providing expertise and support on remote projects.

Here, they have taken on various responsibilities, including serving as the lead engineer for customer-facing developer and user interfaces for embedded I/O devices, as well as for Windows desktop applications for radio network and device management.

During this time, they pursued a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree with a major in astronomy.

Here, they pursued a higher level of education and earned a Master of Science (MS) degree in Planetary Sciences.
