Kent Cramer has extensive experience in the mining industry, currently serving as the Manager of Resource Management at Freeport-McMoRan in Morenci, AZ since May 2006. Cramer has previously held several managerial roles in mine planning and operations at Freeport-McMoRan Copper & Gold Inc. and Phelps Dodge, including positions such as Mine Manager at Sierrita and Operations Superintendent at Bagdad. Additional experience includes work in various engineering and supervisory roles at Minera Candelaria in Chile. Cramer began a career in the US Army as a Topographic Surveyor before pursuing a degree in Mine Engineering from the University of Arizona.
