VP Clinical Development at Freenome

Linda McAllister MD, PhD has a diverse work experience in the field of biotechnology and healthcare. Linda currently works as a Technology Scout at Cepheid since August 2019 and as a VP Clinical Development at Freenome since April 2019. Previously, they worked as the Chief Medical Officer at Revelar Health from April 2018 to April 2019.

Before that, Linda held the position of VP Scientific Affairs at BD Bioscience from July 2014 to March 2018. Linda also served as the Chief Medical Officer at Xagenic Inc. from February 2014 to July 2014 and at CellScape from June 2013 to December 2013.

From February 2010 to May 2013, Linda had a versatile role at PharmaJet, Inc. where they served as the Interim CEO, CMO, and VP of R&D. Linda played a key role in developing a needle-free jet injection device for medication and vaccine delivery.

Additionally, Linda worked at Arbor Vita Corporation as the Executive VP of Diagnostics and Chief Medical Officer from November 2007 to September 2009. During their tenure, they managed clinical and analytical studies leading to FDA approval for a rapid avian influenza test and contributed to the HPV diagnostic program.

Linda also has experience with Roche Diagnostics as a Director of Technology Management from March 2005 to November 2007. Linda has been an Astia participant in 2008, and a participating company at Astia.

Linda McAllister MD, PhD has a strong educational background. Linda began their academic journey at Caltech, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science with honors in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from 1978 to 1982. Linda then continued their studies at Stanford University, earning both an MD and a PhD in Developmental Neuro from 1982 to 1991. Following this, they pursued housestaff training in Internal Medicine Residency at the University of California, San Francisco - School of Medicine from 1991 to 1994. To further enhance their medical expertise, they completed a Residency in Medicine at the same institution during the same years. Lastly, Linda completed their post-doctoral research in Genetic Applications of DNA microarrays in Pat Brown's lab at Stanford University School of Medicine from 1994 to 1999.
