Malyssa Tibbo has a diverse work experience in the hospitality industry. Malyssa began their career in 2008 at Boston Pizza as a Hostess/Lounge Server and later worked as a bartender at Scruffy Murphy's Irish Pub. In 2015, they became a bartender at Stratosphere before joining FAB Restaurant Concepts as an Events Intern in 2016. Malyssa then served as the Manager of Brazen Head Irish Pub & Restaurant and later as the Events and Promotions Manager at FAB Restaurant Concepts. In 2018, Malyssa became the Events & Marketing Director at Bar Hop before transitioning to Dutch Love as a Cashier Customer Service. Currently, they hold the position of Director of Sales & Events East at Freehouse Collective.
Malyssa Tibbo has a diverse education history. Malyssa attended George Brown College from 2015 to 2016, where they studied Hospitality, Tourism, and Leisure. Prior to that, they pursued a Music Theatre Major at Etobicoke School of the Arts from 2004 to 2008. Additionally, Malyssa has obtained various certifications, including a Cannabis Retail Manager License and a CannSell Ontario Certificate in 2020. Malyssa also holds certifications in Emergency First Aid CPR/AED Level C, the City of Toronto's "We've Been Expecting You" program, and Smart Serve Ontario. Moreover, they have completed multiple professional development courses on entrepreneurship, business strategies, coaching skills, marketing tools, and social media.
