As Managing Partner, Seth McDaniel brings over 22 years of public accounting experience to serving the firm’s clients. He joined the firm after leaving the Public Company Accounting and Oversight Board (PCAOB), where he served as an Associate Director. His areas of specialty include working with large and middle market companies in the public and private sectors. His experience includes working with the service, technology, healthcare, real estate and financial institution industries.
While with the PCAOB, Seth helped to develop the accounting practice inspection program that is in place today. Other responsibilities were to oversee the nationwide inspection of a Big 4 firm, as well as several small firms. He also was instrumental in the evolution of the small firm inspection program.
Seth’s career began at KPMG, where he worked until 1997, when he left to work on a specialized IPO transaction for a Georgia company. Before participating in the first inspections in the history of the PCAOB, he worked at Deloitte for several years.
In 2004, Seth was the first person promoted within the PCAOB inspections division to Associate Director, making him the youngest Associate Director in the organization’s history.
Seth is an active member of Young Presidents Organization, where he is a member of the Board of the Southeastern and Caribbean Regional Board and the Southern Seven Board.
As Managing Partner, Seth has been instrumental in driving the firm’s growth and development. In 2019, Seth was named an MP Elite by Accounting Today. This award honors ten Managing Partners who are setting new standards for leadership in the industry. Seth was also named a Most Admired CEO in Atlanta in 2019, in recognition of his role in the growth of the Frazier & Deeter and the numerous awards the firm has received during his tenure, which include Best Firm to Work For, Best of the Best Firm and Best Firm for Leadership Equity.
