Ahmed A. has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. In 1998, they began their career at Microsoft as a Software Design Engineer/Test. From 2005 to 2020, Ahmed worked as a Lecturer, Associate Professor, and Researcher at UVic, UBC, NYIT, and BCIT. In 2008, they co-founded Plurilock and also served as a Senior Scientist until 2010. Ahmed then joined HSBC in 2010 as a Senior Consultant in Information Security Risk until 2017, after which they became a Senior Security Architect until 2020. Currently, Ahmed holds the position of Lead Security Architect at Fraser Health Authority.
Ahmed A. pursued their education at the University of Victoria from 2002 to 2008, obtaining a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Engineering. In 2016, they became a member of the IEEE.
