Learning Implementation Strategist at FranklinCovey

Jane Yrenaya has a strong background in learning and development, with experience spanning over 20 years. Jane is currently working as a Learning Implementation Strategist at FranklinCovey, where they advise and coaches clients to drive desired business outcomes. Prior to this, they served as a Program Instructor at George Brown College Centre for Hospitality & Culinary Arts, where they helped students understand the importance of people in the hospitality industry. Jane also worked as a Learning and Development Consultant at OTEC - Workforce Innovation, contributing to the development of learning content for the tourism and hospitality sector.

Earlier in their career, Jane held leadership positions in talent and learning development at Larco Hospitality and Toronto Marriott Bloor Yorkville. Jane has also held roles as an Assistant Director of Human Resources at The Fairmont Bab Al Bahr and The Fairmont Palliser, and as a Director of Learning at The Plaza, A Fairmont Managed Hotel. Jane began their career at The Fairmont Royal York as a Recruiter. Throughout their career, Jane has been involved in various aspects of HR, including recruitment, training, employee engagement, and leadership development.

Jane Yrenaya began their education journey in 1988 when they enrolled at the University of Guelph. Jane pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and completed their studies in 1992. In 1992, they furthered their education by attending Humber College, where they obtained a Post Graduate Diploma in Business, with a focus on Human Resources, in 1993.

After a substantial gap in their education, Jane Yrenaya returned to school in 2020. Jane attended Cornell University and obtained a Certificate in Diversity and Inclusion for HR in 2021.

In addition to their formal education, Jane Yrenaya also holds several certifications. In 2015, they obtained the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People-Foundations Facilitator Certification from FranklinCovey. In 2017, they acquired the 7 Habits for Managers Facilitator Certification from the same institution, along with the ADEPT-15 Coach Certification from Aon Hewitt. Jane also received the 5 Choices of Extraordinary Productivity Facilitator Certification in 2017 and the DDI-Facilitator Certification from DDI | Development Dimensions International in 2015.

Jane Yrenaya continued to expand their certifications, obtaining the Coaching Certificate from the Association for Talent Development (ATD) in 2018. In 2019, they received the Communication and Emotional Intelligence for Leaders and Workplace Mentorship certification from OTEC Workforce Solutions. Furthermore, in 2020, they acquired the Unconscious Bias Facilitator Certification from FranklinCovey and the 4 Stages of Psychological Safety Certification from LeaderFactor. Jane also completed the Navigating LGBT + Diversity & Inclusion in Tourism Industry program offered by Canada's LGBT+ Chamber of Commerce (CGLCC) in the same year.
