Emily Portway is an experienced educator currently serving as a Special Education Teacher at Franklin Public Schools since March 2023. Previously, Emily held multiple teaching roles, including First Grade Teacher and Special Education Teacher at New Bedford Public Schools from July 2020 to March 2023, and ESY Special Education Teacher and Paraprofessional at Holliston Public Schools from June 2019 to August 2020. Emily also has experience as an English Second Language Teacher at Qkids and worked in various positions including Chapter Services Specialist and Educational Consultant for Alpha Sigma Tau National Sorority, Remote Stylist at Rocksbox, Assistant Communications Coordinator at LDB Advocacy, and Intern at the United Regional Chamber of Commerce. Emily holds a Master of Education in Moderate Special Education and a dual Bachelor of Science in Education, along with a Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education and English, all from Bridgewater State University.
