Charles Terry has a strong background in finance and administration, with experience in various educational institutions and business ownership. Charles has held roles such as Director of Business and Finance in both Franklin County Public Schools and Alleghany County Public Schools. Charles also served as the Director of Finance and Administration at DeVry University and as an Associate Dean at the Fuqua School of Business. Prior to that, Charles held positions such as Vice President for Finance and Administration at Averett University and Director of Finance at Lynchburg City Schools. In their independent business ownership, they operated as an Independent Insurance Agent and Financial Advisor, managing agency operations, strategic planning, and achieving significant growth.

Charles Terry attended Virginia Tech - Pamplin College of Business from 1975 to 1977, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Accounting and Finance. Prior to that, they studied Business Administration at Danville Community College from 1973 to 1975, earning an Associate of Science (A.S.) degree. Charles later pursued their Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance at Virginia Tech - Pamplin College of Business from 1977 to 1978.
