Nicole Bauer serves as a Bundestagsabgeordnete for the Fraktion der Freien Demokraten since October 2017, focusing on women's policy and diversity. Bauer is a member of several committees, including the Economic Committee, the Committee for Family, Seniors, Women, and Youth, and serves as a deputy member in the Committee on Nutrition and Agriculture. Prior to their political career, Bauer worked at BMW Group as a Diplom-Wirtschaftsingenieurin in the drive technology division, and held positions in procurement and production/logistics at Maschinenfabrik Reinhausen, Hochschule Landshut, and AUDI AG, where a thesis on procurement strategy was completed. Education includes a Diplom-Ingenieurin degree in industrial engineering with a specialization in electronics, systems, and technologies from Hochschule Landshut and further studies at the University of Duisburg-Essen.
