Hamed Layssi is a professional engineer and entrepreneur specialized in innovative inspection technology and non-destructive testing and evaluation of structural systems. Hamed is the Co-Founder and Structural Engineer at FPrimeC Solutions, where they work closely with asset owners, consultants, and contractors to develop advanced inspection and testing protocols for critical infrastructure facilities. Hamed also provides expert advice on repair and maintenance of concrete structures. Prior to this, they worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Ottawa, where they conducted research on studying the corrosion of steel reinforcement in concrete elements. Hamed was responsible for designing, casting, and testing concrete samples. Hamed also worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at McGill University, where they conducted experiments on seismic evaluation, repair, and retrofit of existing RC structures. Hamed also conducted laboratory experiments on the seismic response of RC shear walls before and after retrofit, as well as experiments on nonlinear modeling of RC structures.

Hamed Layssi, PEng, PhD has a strong educational background in civil engineering. Hamed began their academic journey by earning a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Civil Engineering from the University of Tehran, where they studied from 2001 to 2005. Building on this foundation, Hamed pursued a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Structural Engineering from the same university, studying from 2005 to 2007.

Seeking further expertise, Hamed enrolled at McGill University in 2008 and successfully completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Civil Engineering in 2013. Hamed'sresearch and studies at McGill University allowed him to deepen their knowledge and contribute to the field of civil engineering.

In addition to their extensive educational background, Hamed Layssi has obtained several certifications to further enhance their professional qualifications. Hamed is a Professional Engineer (PE) accredited by the Engineers and Geoscientists British Columbia. Hamed has also been recognized as a Testing & Evaluation Committee Member by the Deep Foundations Institute. Additionally, they hold a Professional Engineer designation from Professional Engineers Ontario, obtained in 2014.
