Chandra Duggirala MD

Chandra Duggirala MD has a diverse work experience that spans various industries and roles. In 2020, they became a Co-Founder of FounderPool. Prior to that, in 2018, they founded PORTAL and served as its Chairman. PORTAL aimed to create a secure and decentralized platform for cryptocurrency users. From 2017 to 2018, Chandra explored decentralized protocols and business models in the cryptocurrency and decentralized infrastructure projects as a Crypto Exploration. During this time, they also authored two peer-reviewed white papers.

Before their involvement in the cryptocurrency industry, Chandra was the CEO of tryFuel.com, a personalized nutrition engine, from 2014 to 2017. In this role, they utilized data points, including genetics, biomarkers, and behavioral data, to tailor meal plans to individuals' health needs.

In 2008, Chandra founded Novobionics, Inc, where they invented a minimally invasive device to treat diabetes and obesity without surgery. Chandra led the company through Series A funding, established teams, built relationships, and oversaw preclinical trials.

Earlier in their career, Chandra served as a Fellow at CCF in 2008 and as a Resident at Drexel University College of Medicine, Hahnemann University Hospital from 2005 to 2008. At Hahnemann University Hospital, they founded the Drexel Bio-innovation group and negotiated the inclusion of shared intellectual property rights in resident and fellow contracts.

Chandra's work experience also includes being a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Northern Illinois University from 2002 to 2005. During this time, they conducted research on sodium channels and served as a teaching assistant for Human Physiology.

Chandra Duggirala MD completed a Residency in Internal Medicine at Drexel University College of Medicine. Prior to that, Chandra earned a PhD in Biology and Biophysics from Northern Illinois University. Chandra also holds a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree from Rangaraya Medical College in India.
