Mario Behling is an accomplished entrepreneur and innovator, currently serving as CEO of OpnTec GmbH since July 2018, where the focus lies on sustainable Open Source AI software and Open Hardware IoT products. As the founder of FOSSASIA since December 2009, Mario has fostered a sustainable Free and Open Source Software ecosystem and organizes key technology events while collaborating with a global developer community. Co-founding Hotel Xoai in January 2012 demonstrated a commitment to energy-efficient architecture, while previous roles included leading MBM International as CEO, facilitating Open Source project collaborations through FOSS Bridge, and contributing as a lecturer at Kabul University. Mario's educational background includes a Master’s degree from European-University Viadrina and experiences at several other prestigious institutions.
