Eric McCalla is an experienced engineer currently serving as a Validation Engineer at ForwardEdge ASIC since July 2023. Prior to this role, Eric spent nearly 20 years at Seagate Technology, advancing from a Senior Failure Analysis Engineer to a Senior Staff Head-Disk Integration Engineer, where a focus on Adaptive Fly Height control led to significant improvements in manufacturing processes and product quality. Earlier in Eric's career at Micron Technology, capabilities as an ASIC Design Engineer included verifying USB interfaces and developing processor models. Eric holds a Master's in Computer Science from the University of Minnesota and a Bachelor's of Science in Electrical Engineering with a Minor in Mathematics from the University of North Dakota.
