Stevie Chekete, CPA, CMA, is an experienced finance professional with a strong background in strategic financial management. Currently serving as Head of Finance for West Africa at Fortuna Silver Mines Inc. since October 2021, Stevie oversees the finance functions for the region. Prior to this role, Stevie held multiple positions at Roxgold Inc. from June 2014 to October 2021, including Director of Finance and Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis, where responsibilities encompassed production reporting, mining cost analysis, budgeting, and financial training for teams in Burkina Faso. Stevie's career also includes consulting with CAE and senior accounting roles at SNC-Lavalin, where significant contributions were made to financial reporting, risk assessment, and compliance. Stevie holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from HEC Montréal and has been part of the Ordre des CPA du Québec's Strategic Leadership Program since 2010.
