Bill Lemons has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Bill began their career at COMSAT Laboratories as a Systems Administrator and later joined Computer Data Systems, Inc as a Senior Systems Administrator. Bill then moved on to 3Com as a Senior Systems Engineer, supporting major accounts in the Federal and Commercial space.
In 1998, Bill joined Juniper Networks and held various positions, including Director of Federal Systems Engineering and Manager of CTP R&D. During this time, they managed a development team working on the CTP product line, which provides Circuit Emulation Services over a packet-based network.
In 2017, Bill established their own consulting practice, NetOS Consulting, LLC, where they focused on helping businesses simplify, optimize, and automate their IT and networking infrastructures. Their expertise in the telecommunications industry, product management and development, and enterprise IT and network design were utilized to benefit their clients.
Bill then joined Fortinet as a Federal Systems Engineer before being promoted to roles such as Federal Architect and System Engineering Manager for the Civilian sector. Bill is currently the SE Manager for Civilian and Federal Service Providers at Fortinet Federal.
Through their extensive work experience, Bill Lemons has developed a strong background in systems engineering, management, and consulting across a range of industries.
Bill Lemons attended Hood College from 1989 to 2005, where they completed their Bachelor's degree in Mathematics with a minor in Computer Science.
