Melanie Atkinson is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in change management and human resources. Currently serving as the Manager of Strategic Change at Fortescue Metals Group since June 2012, Melanie leads change and engagement activities for strategic initiatives, including decarbonization efforts within the Iron Ore operations team. Melanie's previous roles at Fortescue include Change Lead for S/4 HANA SAP Implementation, Change Manager for SuccessFactors Implementation, and various managerial positions in HR. Prior to joining Fortescue, Melanie worked as an HR Advisor at Tyco International and MercyAscot. Academically, Melanie holds a Graduate Certificate of Climate Policy from The Australian National University and has pursued further studies in Climate Change at the same institution, alongside a Bachelor of Commerce in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, and Marketing from the University of Western Australia. Education began at St Mary's Anglican Girls' School, culminating in a high school diploma.
