Joel Abraham

Senior Perception Software Engineer at Forterra

Joel Abraham is a Perception Software Engineer at Forterra, leading system development and software deployment on Nvidia AGX Orins, focusing on enhancing the deep learning camera stack and its integration with the lidar/perception stack. Previously, Joel served as a Systems Engineer at Northrop Grumman, where AI engineering efforts included the development and deployment of deep learning software for embedded systems. Additional experience includes a role as an NIH Summer Postbac Fellow, working on semantic modeling of brain cancers, and serving as an instructor and mentor at the Boys and Girls Clubs of America, where Joel founded a Python programming summer program. Joel holds a Master of Science in Computer Science from the Georgia Institute of Technology, a Master of Science in Systems Engineering from the University of Maryland, and dual Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Arts degrees from the University of Maryland Baltimore County, with a minor in Applied Mathematics, Biology, and Computer Science.
