George Councill has extensive experience in project finance and corporate banking. George is currently working as the Vice President of Project Development at Fortera Corporation since May 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Fluor Corporation as a Senior Director of Project Finance from June 2018 to March 2022. Before joining Fluor Corporation, they held various roles at Crédit Agricole CIB, including Director of Project Finance from May 2008 to June 2018 and Senior Associate of Corporate Banking from June 2006 to May 2008. George also worked as an Associate Director of Corporate Banking at National Australia Bank Limited from June 2005 to June 2006. Additionally, they gained financial analysis experience at Firstmark Corporation from March 2002 to July 2003, where they evaluated investment targets and managed financial and operational reporting. George started their career as a Financial Analyst at Dominion Partners L.C. from May 1999 to August 2001.
George Councill received their Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Virginia, where they attended from 1994 to 1999. Later, they pursued further education at the Texas McCombs School of Business, completing their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Finance and Accounting between 2003 and 2005.
